£735,000 damages settlement for former member of the British Army

We recently secured a £735,000 damages settlement, together with preservation of future pension entitlements, for a former member of the British Army following a claim for racial discrimination which resulted in a career ending injury.  There were significant failures by the chain of command in allowing disgraceful and offensive conduct and behaviours, which fell well below accepted standards for decency and our client’s dignity.  The matter was settled without an admission of liability.  The outcome reflects the seriousness with which such claims are treated and the importance of accountability within public institutions.
