At MilitaryInjuryClaim.co.uk, we are proud to continue strengthening our support for serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families through the continued growth of our dedicated Military Claims team.
As demand for specialist military legal advice continues to grow, we have recently expanded our team to ensure we can provide even greater support to those who have suffered injuries or illness during military service.
Diane Askwith, a highly respected Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Partner with more than 20 years’ experience specialising in military claims, continues to lead the team. Throughout her career, Diane has represented serving and former Armed Forces personnel in a wide range of complex and high-profile cases, including claims involving cold weather injuries, training accidents, and allegations of sexual assault both at sea and on land.
Recent Additions to the Team

Patrick Nelly is an experienced Solicitor specialising in civil litigation and personal injury, having qualified in 2007. Over the years, he has developed particular expertise in military claims, acting for injured service personnel and veterans pursuing claims against the Ministry of Defence.
Patrick is passionate about supporting those who have served and takes a compassionate, client-focused approach to every case. His strong connections within the military community have led to referrals from several veterans’ charities, and he has proudly supported fundraising initiatives, including work with Walking With The Wounded.

Recognised as a Forces Friendly Employer
Our commitment to the Armed Forces community extends beyond the legal services we provide.
We are delighted to have recently been awarded Silver Status under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), part of the Armed Forces Covenant, recognising our ongoing commitment to supporting serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families.
Speaking about the achievement, Diane said:
“This is an immensely proud moment for myself, being able to raise awareness of the Armed Forces and the very special community who serve within it and those with close links. I am very much looking forward to continuing the great work we do, supporting the Armed Forces Community, Reservists and Cadets and to stand out as a Forces Friendly employer. #ERSSilver26”
Receiving Silver Status reflects our continued dedication to being a Forces Friendly employer and reinforces our commitment to supporting those who have served our country both in the workplace and through the legal services we provide.
